Our Next Encounter

The moon so heavy in the sky, Appears to have lost the will to fly. Eerie, bright and full in the night, It hangs on the brim of day, Painted with the colors of dawn. It prepares its descent out of my sight, As it slowly slips behind the light of day, I count the hours until our next encounter.
