Our People

The United States is one of the greatest to exist

For its freedom of our citizens will forever persist.

Some say that freedom is a made-up ideal

But our constitution and rights have never been appealed

Our people have the opportunity to speak their minds

Even if the government portrays confusing signs.

Our people have the right to choose leading officials

Instead of being forced to follow another man’s whistle

Our people have the option to follow their dreams

With hard work and dedication, the trick is to believe

Our people have the chance to live where they desire

While some countries force their people to live behind a wire

Every country certainly has its flaws

But the U.S. has tried to listen to us all

Not everyone will be happy with every decision

But at least we can live with a happy future vision.

Although everyone has their own belief systems, it is important to remember that the United States is one of the greatest countries in the world.
