Our purpose
I tasted the acridness of depression
I spat it out like viscous phlegm
I surveyed my life for a cure for trangression
to deliver me from inexorable sin
Life trajectories are good and bad
I surrender all to a divine intervention
Some philosophical juggernauts claim God's death is sad
And if so, that gives me much apprehension
What is our purpose on earth
I begin to curiously ask myself
If death is the natural design, why my birth
Then what is the purpose of obtaining wealth
We fight racial battles everyday
And verbal constipations dictate race is subjective
Among many avoided conversations we still say
we try our best to be productive
