Our Rose (ballade)

What we had was garded by thorns, Filled with beauty and romance. From its roots we were born. In its presence the world would dance For we were together at last We were the couple that God himself chose Well, no he didn't, but he gave us a chance. He gave us our rose. This rose was to grow And to be cared for. This beautiful gift that God bestow But, Instead we just choose to ignore We let it get hit by a swinging door Let it be washed away by water that flows Those ocean tydes, they roar We never again garded our rose. That can't be the end of the story you say. Guess what, it is Because now our love is just ash grey And has blown away into the bliss I guess I should have already dismissed this Because our love has been left for the crows. That doesn't change the fact that I still miss him. Now this isn't the story of us, but our dead rose.
