Our Sirens of Today

She's exhilarating and flashy; her posse is as well Her voice can't be ignored, so your soul, you'll sell She seems to grow more and more powerful everyday She says size matters to keep the competitors at bay We lose sleep, friends, more times than not, our lives for her She's so sick and ruthless, but her shiny exterior blinds us from the truth; a complete blur Nothing will change though because we always come back Why is that? She seems to fill our voids of what we don't know we lack She's the Kryptonite to our Superman, and the reckless ego to their Trump "Ding!" "Ding!" "Di--!" Just let it pass, and keep sailing
