Our society's corruption

Regardless of what I think,

the world will prioritize its expectations.

Expectations that make men think

that it is okay to assault a woman

because her skirt was above her knees.

Expectations that make women think

that sexualizing themselves is

the only way to move forward;

Forward in a country that

has lost all sense of self-worth.

I’ll never understand the individuals

who think people’s bodies are

what make someone attractive.

This world needs change.
