our story

I am not the same person as I was before. It is funny how a lot can change in a year. I use to think it was impossible to get attached to someone. I believed that I would never get comfortable with the people in my life because I knew that they would just leave. Growing up I was taught not to get attached to people because there is no such thing as foever. And I believed that. But how is it possible that no matter how many times I was told as a kid, I am still stuck in this situation. I guess I still had some hope that maybe, this is my impossible. That maybe if there's something in the world that can stay the same, this is it. I was so childish to think that music was strong enough to hold us together. To think that out of the billions of people on this earth you were the one to stay. I tried so hard to keep you in my life, that once I stopped trying, you did absolutely nothing to stay. I was always there. I always reminded you that I'd always be there. And I had no plan on changing that. Maybe you got so used to me being there that you got comfortable. You took it for granted. Maybe I left you, at the time you needed me most. And when you tried to make things right, I was already gone. I'd ask for your forgiveness. But why would I ask for something I don't deserve? Maybe in a different place and time, our paths will cross again. But I still do believe that their was a reason we met each other in the first place. Whether its because were meant to be, or it's so we can learn from each other and grow. Whatever the reason is, I believe that the people in your lives are there for a reason.

Each person has their own story, and its up to you to figure out how you want to be part of it. Maybe our story will be the story you end up telling your kid when they are crying from a broken heart.

And I'm sorry. But I am not sorry for meeting you.

It was great crossing paths with you, what an honor it was to be part of your story.
