Our Story to Tell

I met you junior year. You definitely were not a dear. I befriended you without a doubt. Hoping that one day your nice side would come out. Almost falling for you once or twice, I soon rejected it since you weren't very nice. A year passed by and we grew closer. Realizing your jerk side was just a poser. You became my best friend, the one I was glad I always had. Sharing all our secrets, whether they were good or they were bad. Helping each other through all the problems that came with school. Even the ones with psycho girlfriends who took you away from me, its so not cool. Graduating high school and still keeping in touch. Realizing if I didn't talk to you I was already missing you so much. The day you came over to sleep over the night, Was the night we first slept together, you held me so tight. Butterflies or not, I rejected the fact. That there was something inside of you, that made my feelings react. Our first year of college had finally come to an end. And I was finally able to hang out with you as my awesome best friend. Then the day of Six Flags had come knowing we'd have a blast. Ending with an unexpected occurrence, making all those feelings arise that were there in the past. You caused butterflies in my stomach, and mixed feelings in my head. You were holding me so tight, so my coldness can go dead. Passing me your heat through your body, arms, and neck. You made my knees go weak while we dealt with the wreck. A week passed by and your birthday grew near. Realizing I'd get to spend the whole day with you this year. First some hiking then your surprise party. Became a big shock to you since you’re not that big of a smarty. The day went great; I got to wear your sweater. You never ignored me once, you just kept getting better. We ended the night with a hug and a goodbye. You told me how you cared for me, made me wonder why? On to the movies we kept on going. Slowly acting like a couple, you kept me glowing. It all started when I rested my legs on you. Wanted to get comfortable while watching the movie too. We ended up shifting with your arms wrapped around me. Helped me see everything in a whole different degree. I rested my hand up on your own. Made me discover how our relationship had grown. Next movie turned out exactly the same. Except that time I squeezed your fingers without a shame. Movie had ended and not wanting to move a finger or toe. I had to move eventually so my feelings would not show. Still a bit confused at what had gone wrong. I was falling for the friend I wanted to keep all lifelong. 4th of July, it was without a doubt. That you would take me out and all the feelings would sprout. That day went great we finally held hand in hand. The feelings were obvious, but now where did our relationship stand? It was the 6th of July the day we would kiss All due to a national day that I didn't want to miss. Both excited for the moment to come. Didn't end up happening, it was such a big bum. Then came the day after that marked the beginning. The day we both spoke what we were truly feeling. From that day and on, we've had many great times. Sharing every moment we can, while staying out of them crimes. I love you Gonzo, I really do love you Can't wait for the day where we both say "I do". But up until then let’s wait and have fun. No need to rush love when I know you're the one.
