Our Sweet Mockingbird

She flies in the bright, blue sky, While weaving through the alabaster clouds, she Harmonizes a sweet melody and Descends in the most graceful manner. She is beautiful, more gorgeous than her Counterpart, the blue jay. He taunts us-- And butchers every tune he attempts to carry. His appeal is lacking, no wonder it’s not a sin. But to kill our sweet Mockingbird? Oh, no one Would dare, for it is an unforgiving offence. Her hymn echoes throughout Maycomb-- No one ever yearns for her to cease. A symbol of Aves perfection, a bird so Sacred to our hearts--eternally Singing a heartfelt tune, even in times Of grief and sorrow.
