Our Wicked Heroes

Why must our heroes have vices that kill the ones they are supposed to save?

No mercy, no empathy, just sterotypes and thinking critically

About what happens next...What happens next?

When I saw the sirens's lights flash on my screen, a weight sank to my chest

Imagine the pain,

Imagine the terror in that poor town...the fear in a young girl's eyes as she clings to her mother's skirt

The tears in a young man's eyes that slip free despite of his efforts to be the man of the family.

Who will be next?

Your lover

Your friend

Your Mother

Your Father

This is what people live every day

Because of racism

The color of their skin

Why must our wicked heroes

fail to see the life in a child's innocence?
