Our Worn Down Soles

Dear Running Shoes,

You've carried me mile upon mile

Offering relentless support

You never cease to make me smile

Without you I can't run for sport

Though you can be very stinky

The smell is not really your fault

I can have that extra twinkie

Cus I'm fast as a thunderbolt

We have been across all terrain

Endless workouts wear us both down

We still have everything to gain

I'll still keep wearing you to town

Should get rid of you and your holes

But we relate with worn down soles

Devotedly yours,

Lorna
