In Our Youth

Whilst in our youth,

I feel I must say,

Before another day passes,

Another chance slips away,

That I have something to tell you at last.

Something that will take me from first to last,

In the eyes of the girl I love,

But I must unburden my heart,

Before I go on,

I must say three words I've been dying to say,

The words I love you I must say,

Before you move away,

Before you run,

Know that I'm not the only one,

But I would like to be your number one.

I want to be beside you when the days turn to nights,

And I wish to be with you through the scary and the frights.

I promise I won't leave you,

No lies to scare me off,

But I love you,

And now, I don't blame you if you walk off.

I'm not the best guy,

This I know to be true.

My face isn't the most attractive thing,

It probably belongs in a zoo.

But you are amazing,

These words are true.

I've loved you since day one,

And I hope that you know,

There hasn't been any girl like you,

And that is the reason that I have loved you.
