Ours

What if I had never told,

or what if it had never occured?

Would everything be good as gold,

or would you still walk past without a single word?

We never built a solid foundation

So when our world shook, it swallowed us whole

A true solid rock became our sole destination

But my feet never landed, that’s beyond my control.

Your feet hit the ground and I took it in stride

You just got right back up. You had so much power.

I continued to fall as you kept rising high

Your new world is much more stable than ours

He’s the love of your life; your rock, your bestfriend

Envy and jealousy rush through my head

Was it something I did that made what we had end?

Guess until my love comes, I’ll just watch yours instead
