Ours

It's not always about the dates and the flowers

More times than none it's about a certain amount of hours

Hours spent in arguments

Screaming until we are blue in the face

Both expressing harsh sentiments

Sometimes even questions our place

It's not the sexual things

It is however the talk of dreams

The laughs of joy

It's about the spiritual and mental connection

Between girl and boy

Or boy and boy

Or girl and girl

Even though you are my one

We don’t have to verge into one world

It's about sacrifices and  commitments

The things we will do and things we will not

Its about us going through more than a lot

But still standing strong and unwavering in our spot

No physical licks passed

Or harsh words mumbled make the hurt last

It is not what is always sweet

Or what is always sour

It is about the in between things

The things that are meant for us

And things that are ours
