Out of the Darkness

I used to think of life as a journey for some dope The substance gave me power to forget the past and cope. Everyday i woke up searching for a way to numb my pain I always felt so hopeless that there was nothing more to gain I only knew resentment and my heart was too broken to fix I hoped for a sudden death by all the drugs that i would mix I didn't care who loved me or who i would leave behind The beast they call addiction had left me deaf and blind Overwhelmed with depression the pain too much to bare God can you hear me? Or do you even care? God said i can hear you, its been you that cant hear me Surrender all your burdens i can mend your heart you'll see I will fill your heart with joy and your life with love and light I have called you out of the darkness and filled your eyes with sight Please my child give me all the pain that you endured Now go on my child and live. Your life has been restored
