Out in the open

You see it but don’t notice it

You hold it but don’t feel it

You take it without knowing

You give it without thinking

You fall before the storm

You try getting up

You trip again and lose control

You stand and hold your pose

The clock ticking

The minutes are sneaking

An hour passes by

The day is way too far

The stars come out

You are still standing still

The moon whispers in your ear

Telling you to go to bed

But you are insane and  stay

The breeze keeps you cool

The night animals pass by you

Smelling and sensing you there

They get frightened by your stare
