Out of Park
Wishing doesn’t get us pretty much anywhere its dreaming that will take us far
Grabbing for something when nothings there is what may tear us apart
When you think about the times you may have seen my light brown eyes
You always noticed that there was something there but the thought of it you despised
To get a rise, out of madness is not the way of life, and yes I may be too young to be a wife
But if the muscles and the man can’t become a player for my team and step up to the plate
Then next thing you know when he’s ready I’ll be down the aisle and his enemy has won 1st place
He will have won the trophy of my heart that was not to be toyed with or ignored by any man
It is to be caressed and love by the soft warmed touch of his hand
My heart is supposed to be the melody to his heart and much more
It was suppose to be the one and only one thing that his heart adored
I won’t cry, not because tears are a sign of weakness, but because there are no more tears there
There are no more tears for the one that I can’t understand or that I can’t even bear
Some people ask me what do I think when I’m all alone in the dark
I think about if my knight and shining armor will step up to the plate one day and hit an “Out of Park”.
