Out of Place

As a child,

I knew I didn't belong.

I always felt the need,

to be somewhere else.

Wherever that somewhere is,

I am still searching.

As teenager,

I know that I don't belong.

I always feel the need,

to compare myself to others.

Whoever I want to be,

I still remain me.

As an adult,

I know I won't belong

I will feel the need,

to distinguish myself from others.

Whoever I am,

I am me.

I will not conform.

I will not give up.

I will break the mold.

I will revolutionize industries.

I will be happy.

Who I am,

is no concern to anyone else.

I will not change,

because of fleeting insecurities,

too high standards,

or traditional values.

Who I am,

is yet to be discovered,

but I hope

that whoever I will be,

wherever I will be,

I will be Happy.
