He never noticed the ache in my laughter Nor the pain behind my smile Our accidental touch, he never discerned Yet I'd see the moment for miles His benevolent smile allured me But I was not the only one His new love's hand was filled with his And their chapter had begun I could no longer stand by And keep my heart leashed But all at once He had never felt so out of reach
