Out of Rope, Filled with Courage
(poems go here)
Ascending the façade of the steep labyrinthine of your way of life.
Sooner or later you know that you will be out of rope and filled with courage.
Unclipped, unencumbered, and alone.
The abstruse obstacles above you envenom your hands with broken rock, making them ooze the red tears of pain and the whispering thoughts of the unexpected.
Fearing the plummet of your life, you quickly repudiate it from your mind.
Now, tall, disorientated, and wise.
At the last stretch, finally at the top, at peace.
But you don’t even know it.
Funny the way it is, isn’t it?
You are now free.
But what is freedom?
The only freedom a man really wants is the freedom to be comfortable.
You now rest, now a memory for the next climber.
The next one in the bloodline to be out of rope and filled with courage.
