Out the Shell

In my thoughts I kept drowning.

Wondering my worth and purpose.

"Am I loved, do I belong here?"

It used to be so easy,

It used to be so different.

But here we are, in the real world now.

"Do I lead or do I follow",

"Do I take the risks or do I hide now",

Social acceptance was crushing me.

Keeping me locked away, terrified.

Out of my shell I came, It was great.

I learned and tried, I lead and follow.

I know my worth and I know my purpose,

But what shall I do now?
