Out in the Storm
Out in the rain
struggling with the pain.
All your effort,
all your time
given in vain.
Lock the door,
throw away the key.
If you’re a second option,
they’re not someone you need.
Open the gate
and you’ll see
how free you heart can be.
The wind blows over
the storm calms
and from the darkness
the sun emerges.
Bringing hope
ending confusion
and all the lies will cease to create an illusion.
Free spirit, open mind
the road to recovery seems almost divine.
bumps and gaps
tiny set - backs
smooth sailing at times
others no positivity availing.
When the tide comes and when it goes
give or take
make or break
It is solely action
and not fate
that decides the road you follow.
No pain, joy, or sorrow
determines the future or tomorrow.
One step at a time, the path unfolds
and all of life’s secrets, you’ll behold.
