Out of the Void

The trials and tribulations of life,

they make you want to escape and run away.

It seems as though no one understands,

making you feel alone and clash.

Life throws us things we can’t handle sometimes,

causing our minds to wander and become curious.

We think of ways to escape these harsh realities,

whether it jumps the line between life and death.

There’s the awesome thing of having a friend.

When you don’t think you can go another day,

they are always there with the right things to say.

Friends are the sunshine to a rainy day,

your personal knight in shining armor.

When it feels like your world is caving in,

you can always lean on them.

They lift you up when you’re down,

helping you escape the negative thoughts.

There’s the awesome thing of having a friend,

because even when you aren’t there for yourself,

they’ll walk through the strongest wind.

The strongest wind just to be by your side,

reminding you to live life while it’s worthwhile.
