Boxlike formation on the wall,
I can’t ignore your allurement.
Absurd to overlook, surement.
Spark on the wall to me it calls.
Set in the darkness of the hall,
Thine alabaster holes of three.
I shall find a fork for thee,
with possibility to illuminate
blue streaks of brilliance to duplicate.
Spark on the wall to me it calls.
I search for a fork in crawl,
For I wish to awake no one at all.
I know what I’m doing is wrong, and yet,
Spark on the wall to me it calls.
I try to draw away
But I have gone too far.
There is no hope not even a ray
Is this how the broken are?
I resist yet the temptation is not small.
Spark on the wall to me it calls
Utterly cracked my spirit broken
Lying on the floor in tears choking.
My strength run out. My perseverance defeated
My will ripped in half do I need repeat it?
Then
I hear a new voice.
Orotund and elegant,
“Accept My love,
dying on the cross was My choice
so you could have hope to rejoice,
because of Me your past is irrelevant.
Now come My child and receive forgiveness.”
While in misery and appalled,
Christ on high, to me He called.
And yet
Spark on the wall continues to call,
Louder and louder without hesitation.
However, I call upon Someone far greater.
