I look around and see many things Yet, I wonder who ever sees me Just a wonderer out of millions With each day the energy shifts Not to mention the emptiness So many times I’ve tried giving up But, for some reason its hopeless I must have a huge assignment ahead For the good Lord doesn’t want me dead Years have passed, things have changed But yet, I sit here and remain the same Attitude and energy to light up any room A brokenness that no one imagines Is hidden deep within every passage A smile hides many wounds of damage But, at times it can be hard to manage Wondering if anyone even notices How much strength it takes, not to fade Into the traps of this horrid darkness Which consumes the best parts of me Somehow the universe is spinning free While mostly, I’m just happy to breathe
