Outside and Inside

Outside, I put on a smile

Inside, I'm always screaming

Outside, I'm happy and want you around me

Inside, I'm dying and want you away from me

Outside, I'm never down

Inside, I can't get up

Outside, I'm fine

Inside, I'm broken

Outside, I wear the mask of who I want to be

Inside, I'm who I always was before I met you

Outside, I pledge anything to make you happy

Inside, I accept this might mean letting you go because I love you

Outside, I'm back to being myself

Inside, I'm a new person
