From the Outside Looking In

From the outside looking in,

There is a longing feeling hid

From the inside looking out.

From the outside looking in,

There is sparkle that dulls

From the inside looking out.

From the outside looking in,

There is a happy, carefree smile that fades

From the inside looking out.

From the outside looking in,

There is an unspoken truth hidden

From the inside looking out.

From the outside looking in,

There is one heart different

From the inside looking out.

From the outside looking in,

There is one person the same

From the inside looking out.
