Outside Looking In

Outside looking in,

Hearing the laughter and wishing to join in...

Tears falling in the dark of the night

And silence during the day

Anger bubbling up inside,

Then release,

Words on paper shaping a different truth

Less pain, less anger, less silence.

Words on a page making reality change,

Words on a page making me change.
