Outside my mirror
It's hard to look in the mirror these days when everyone has everything you'd rather be. Maybe soon I'll figure out what giving up is all about, I don't think that's me, These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces. To tell my story, I don't need to say a word. I'm a stranger wherever I go because I'm strange to myself. My mind just goes off doing it's own thing, never consulting me at all about weather it's all right to feel this way or that. I am constantly standing several feet away from myself, watching as I do or say or feel something that I don't want or don't like at all, & I still can't stop it. I am the girl who is lost in space, the girl who is disappearing always, forever, forever fading into the background of my own reality. My world has come to be so clear, I was never meant to stay here!
