Outside/Inside

outside/inside

by erika taylor

outside

she’s poised,

soft in her hold,

sike a dream,

inside

she hurts,

like knives,

through the heart.

outside

she speaks,

smiles at faces,

with her head high,

inside

she cries,

angry,

at what she’s left with.

outside

she speaks,

seeking Truth,

shat may never unveil.
