Over It?
I say I'm over it... I want to be,
But will love ever end happily?
I hurt inside to be denied, to not
Have what I hoped was mine.
I thought it'd be different for once...
That he'd like me back. But once again
I'm just the girl who's not good enough...
Who's holding back. He seemed to
Care, just a facade to not hurt me even more,
But I promise this: I die inside and will forevermore.
So if I say I'm over him, just ask me one more
Time. I'll say, "No, I'm really not," because he
Was the first boy who ever made me feel
Alive.
