Over the Winds
In another life I was a whale
That breached the surface
Far
Too often,
Taking a dive up,
Geysing storms
of ocean water,
Each drop grasping onto the air,
Trying to bring some home.
In this life I am not a whale.
I am in the air,
Pulling it in, letting it out,
Tasting the scent of life,
But all I want to do is drown,
To let in the peace,
To feel the tides carry me,
Over the winds.
