Over You

Torrential rain

Washes away

Any trace of you.

Oh, I can wish

All I want,

But it doesn't make it true.

An earthquake comes

And buries deep

The things you said were true.

Oh, I can try

All I want,

But I won't be free of you.

The chaos is done,

People come out.

The earth is made new.

Oh, I can see

All I want,

The sweet sunshine breaking through.

Poets, may your days be the way you like them, whether rainy, sunny, or overcast with anticipation for a storm.
