Overcome Fear
Standing in front of the crowd, mic in hand, ready to sing.
My heart pours out as well as my fear.
Running away takes you deeper, facing head on makes you stronger.
Fear may be on my mind but it’s far from my heart.
The audience goes quiet, watching me with full attention, they do not make a sound.
Focused on the one who gave me my voice instead of the ones who are listening to it.
I sing for one reason, my love for God.
Standing in front of the crowd, mic in hand, motivated by fear.
