Overcoming

His nose had colors of beautiful pink.

His eyes reflected the light of the day.

His heart was built of gold which made one sink.

Oh how I truly wished he'd alway stay.

Yet I soon knew that this simply finished.

Your essence stayed lingering on my walls.

The light you once had quickly diminished,

I asked myself, how could you take such falls?

Your hourglass tipped over and spilled time.

I didn't want to face the reflection.

The story of your life had a sweet rhyme.

Now I'm left grasping a blue conception.

So what if your time came to a soon end?

My sure soul knows we will meet again.
