Overcoming Yourself

Look into the mirror Repeating the abusive words Ugly Fat Chunky Hairy You look like a man Too short Or too tall Silence the voices inside your head You wish Everyday they grow louder But there’ll be a day When the evils are silenced The mirror no longer lies You define who you are Beauty beneath the mud
