Overheard Conversations

Why

Why do you speak so harshly

So rudely, So meanly

You talk with knives in your sentences

Stabbing

Stabbing the hearts and minds of your victims

They’ll never forget it either

It’ll stick with them

Their thoughts with wrap around it

It’ll be all that they think about

It’ll eat them alive

Why

Why do we care so much

About what others say

Why is their opinion so valued in our minds

We should be the best version of ourself

No matter what others say
