Overseas

A war we've been fighting for years That just brought us nothing but pain and fear. There's nothing to celebrate Nothing to prance or dance about, There's nothing to cheer here. Why should there be? People dying at a high rate Lives shorten by a war That is filled with brutality Making people face the fact that this Is now our reality. So many things from this war sicken me Children dying is what I hate most Innocent cries as those God forsaken bullets fly Piercing delicate skin That'll easily end a Childs life; One that is starting to begin. Withering and tattered he lays there still, With tears, his mother's eyes are filled . Sadness consumes her The child that she loved so Has just been killed This reality is a tough blow How many children will suffer? Not only that what about their mothers How many more children will die? Not only in this war But the wars to come in time. Let our hearts be found So one day we can be astound By how peaceful the world is Hear children giggling and playing Think of peace And think of how many children we'll be saving. Wars overseas Need to come to an end, So peace and tranquility Can begin.
