Overthink

Am I living a life worth sharing?

You ponder this question a lot

the cyclical nature of your thoughts

feeling stranded you just need it to stop.

You know that feeling, right?

Where you start to take those few steps only to be hit by fright,

or maybe it’s the endless possibilities that blind your sight.

You know they say, “it’s bad to be too forthright”.

So, you say, “I’ll figure everything out tonight”.

Then you’ll return with a flawless plan filled with delight,

ready to start again at tomorrow’s light.

Only to encounter the same plight.

Yes, you overthink.

It’s the process of ensuring that everything is in sync.

The conversations, thoughts, and ideas all need to link.

Translating those thoughts into actions is what leaves you on the brink.

But wise words have taught you, “life is short”, the number of days left only shrink.

If thoughts stay thoughts, you’ll look up to see you’ve done nothing, and life will be over in a blink.

Am I living a life worth sharing?

No, you’ve been living a life filled with preparing.

Now is the time to be rebellious against your thoughts and become daring.

Ignore the whispers of doubt and the naysayers that are staring.

But you don’t know how to start?

Actually, you do, with all the countless hours of thinking, you’ve become very smart.

It’s time for you and your chamber of thoughts to grow apart.

It’s time for you to truly trust yourself, your mind, and your heart!
