Overwhelming Futures...

Wondering down the road,

Waiting for me to find myself.

As I look into my future,

I see the colors swarm,

I feel the air thicken,

and the waters inside me rise,

making it hard to breathe.

I grasp at my future,

trying to hold it.

But all this while,

slowly letting go.

I am weak and give it up,

as I put all my trust in the Lord,

and hold onto him.

As he reaches for me,

through it all

keeping me safe.

I let myself go,

and give him full control,

and he guides me.
