Overwhelmingly Small

It's a small world out there.

It's a big world and I'm scared.

So many people that you'll never see again,

Then a familiar face in the strangest of places.

I don't want to live my life wasted,

Pasting on a smile I don't mean.

And yet I hide away,

I shy from the days ahead.
