Overworked

You always expect my very best,

placing your class above all the rest.

But what you fail to realize and think not,

is all my other professors have the same thought.

I end up swamped with work, trying to stay alive,

meanwhile you yell at me, asking why I don't try.

I am overworked and underappreciated,

all the books I enjoyed reading are now faded.

I have since placed leisure time on the shelf,

I feel I'm running just to catch up to myself.
