Own Kind Of Beautiful

You see glasses

And braces

And think, what's the word?

Oh yeah. Nerd.

You see a costume

And hear "Prepare for your doom."

And say : "Geek!"

"Such a freak!"

But we don't care

'Cause there's one thing we share

We don't need to be cool

On the inside,  we're our own kind of beautiful

That nerd could fix your car

Or be a famous movie star

And that geek could make

The next blockbuster, just wait

The kid who doesn't learn the same way

You call her retarded under your breath every day

Then you get a new algebra tutor

And are shocked to see it's her.

But we don't care

'Cause there's one thing we share

Don't need to be cool

On the inside we're our own kind of beautiful

No need, no how

We don't need to wow

We are proud, we are tall

We don't need your opinion at all.
