Pages

Pages in an empty notebook,

a notebook in an empty world,

a light upon the smooth white pages

a cold, but soothing light

the sands flow one by one

down and down they go

ever shifting, ever changing.

The pages fill themselves

one by one with life,

with words, with faces,

until at least the shifting sands settle

and so the pages settle too

a page for you and me,

a world within these words.

It is an endless page we write upon,

each of us a character,

one perfect, one flawed.

You are the light and the perfection,

it is by your side I will remain

forever loyal, through every story,

forever, I will love you.
