The Pain

The day has just begun

But to you, it should be done

The pain is becoming worse

Like a never ending curse

It continually pulls you down

Until you just shutdown

And once it all begins

Your strength, it slowly thins

You experience so much hurt

As you begin to revert

Back to creating physical pain

Making scars that will remain

The days keep passing by

And with each one you cry

As you wish for days to come

Where you won’t feel so numb

Where the pain has subsided

And the scars have all mended

But your hope is fading thin

With each new mark placed upon your skin
