Pain

There really is pain inside.

Some of you will never see it,

It's gotten easier to hide.

I know you know it's there,

But if you asked, I would deny.

Please don't force it out of me,

That might tempt me to lie.

You will only push me farther

If you attempt to pull and pry.

I understand you care for me

But it will come out on its own time.

As for now all I care to say is

There really is pain inside.
