Pain

I would change the ache of pain

It's a feeling that engulfs more than the soul

A feeling that engulfs a persons being

And powerful enough to make a person lose control

I would change the hurt of pain

The emotion is chilling enough to leave you cold

Strong enough to dilute what we conceive of love

And its something the heart will grow to hold

Years of pain can torture and penetrate us

Pain is what makes us hurt

I would set a world of painless love

And feed the pain to the dirt

That would change the way we think

And change the weight of the world

It would soothe all of the broken souls

And give confidence to the boy and encouragement to the girl

It would set apart a world of wonder

And give back to the world today

If i could do good for the world

Pain is what i would change
