The Pain
The pain of one’s heart you cannot believe
The blood pulsing through their veins
The moments of joy they will not retrieve
Clutching their chest in hope of relieve
Enduring the eternally ineffable pains
The pain of one’s heart you cannot believe
No one to comfort or understand how they grieve
Realizing what little life remains
The moments of joy they will not retrieve
Thoughts of misery are all they can conceive
Depressed by the taunting slaps of the rains
The pain of one’s heart you cannot believe
A flash of a smile is all they can achieve
Bound by life’s unbreakable chains
The moments of joy they will not retrieve
The façade of encouragement how many will they deceive
A puzzling expression manipulating their brains
The pain of one’s heart you cannot believe
The moments of joy they will not retrieve
