The Pain

There’s a deep pain within my soul
It feels like my heart has a deep hole
A pain so deep sometimes I can’t breathe
My Lord, when will this pain fade away
Each and everyday I pray that this pain will go away
Today I often think and wonder why
Mama had to die
But I know God looks low and sits high
And she’s with him now, beyond in the sky
It’s so hard to say good-bye
And all I can do is sit and cry
I close my eyes and try to pray
I try and pray that when I open my eyes, you’d be there
I can’t believe you’re gone.
