Pain
Pain
It's all so much to gain
I can't contain my life that's in vain
Pushing through open doors
Watching the blood run across the floor
Pain wrenching all the way deep in my core
Not so sure I can take much more
More of this test
I need to rest
Done all I can
I gave it my best
But it's not enough
I can't give up now I gotta stay tough
I hear everyday that life gets rough
But trials disappear with a silent puff
Puff of air that I breathe
Puff of air that I need
Break through the glass just to see
See all that I can be
Once I see what I can be I can be filled with glee
Glee as I strode across the stage
knowing my chapter has ended but I've got to turn the page
Can't live my life off of minimum wage
I have the choice to do what I want I'm of that age
Now I gotta try to get through these days
Problems flying every which way
People ask me everyday if I'm okay
And what do I say
Is this life just a game I've got to play
If so then I've already lost
Can't live in fear everyday of not knowing the cost
The cost of what I say or do
The cost of what I go through
Cause God's on my side
With him on my side I ain't got nothing to hide
Giving me the courage to just step outside
I'll come through for you
Because after being there for me for so long it's the least I can do
Gotta prove the strereotypes wrong
Been descriminated against for so long
Now I'm trying to descriminate against myself?
Blaming myself for problems that I can't help?
Not knowing if I should go right or left?
All because of what I've been told
All because of the weight I have to hold
Wanting to dig myself into a hole just to see
See if anybody will remember me
See if anybody will even notice I'm not there
See if there's anybody that'll care
See if anybody has knowledge to share
All I want is to be loved and cared for
To be remembered for all that I can do and not where I came from
Is that so much to ask?
Getting judged for messing up a simple task
People not knowing if my life will last
Comparing me to my past
Everybody say I gotta get through on my own but it's all moving to fast
My struggles make me an outcast
No one wants to deal with an emo freak
No one wants to deal with someone who is so weak
So weak they can't speak without everybody laughing at mee
They laugh now but they don't see
See the struggles that weigh me
Weigh me down until I'm no more
Weigh me down until I'm nothing but a mess on the floor
Body spasming as I cry until I can't cry no more
Wondering if I can keep on
Knowing that this is a race that life has already won
